The Porto Tolle Fisheries Museum is located in the province of Rovigo, Veneto, and is housed within the former fishermen's hospice, a landmark historic building and important reference point for the local fishing community, representing a testament to the seafaring tradition and life of fishermen in the Po Delta area.
The exhibit offers an extensive collection concerning traditional fishing, showing the different techniques used over the centuries.
One can admire fishing nets, boats, oars, dinghies, fish processing tools, work tools, and historical fishing equipment.
The Museum also organizes events, temporary exhibitions and educational activities to engage the public and promote knowledge of local traditions related to fishing in the local area.
